Making a Connection.
The hunt seemed to last forever. Dean had tracked the water wraith through almost two entire states before he finally caught up with it. Even then, the damn thing almost drowned him before he put it down. Probably should have called in some help, Dad or Bobby, but he wanted to finish it on his own. That way he could slip off and take a few days for himself afterward.
Dean dragged into his motel room and made a beeline for the shower. The water that thing had lived in was freezing and he was still chilled to the bone even an hour later. Before he did anything else, he was going to use up all the hot water he could get a hold of. Which, of course, made him miss another shower he'd enjoyed. Man, he couldn't wait to get back.
After his shower, he pulled on a clean, dry pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt and ordered a pizza to be delivered. Then he flopped down on his bed, burrowing under the covers to thaw out and wait for his dinner.

They probably should talk about something else, though. "How's the bar doing?"

"Missing one of the better bartenders I've had though..."

"Not bad. Just keeping busy. My dad and I worked together on the west coast for a while." And looked in on Sam, of course. "But, I was already thinking about how I could get some time to come back here."

"I'm glad you made it back. Phone calls aren't always enough."

If he wasn't careful, he was liable to like being here a little too much.

"Anything else you want to do while you're up here?"

"I like baseball and football. Basketball's okay."

"Something tells me sports has to be the last thing on your mind."
no subject
"You know what's on my mind."

"Excuse me, gotta pay the restroom a visit... Back in a second." He gave Dean a brief look, a playful smile. Getting up and going together would be too suspicious after all.

In the restroom, he looked around, looking for feet under the door of a stall.

But hell, at this point, he'd be fine with letting them watch. He just wanted Dean.
