In the light of day.
Dean woke slowly the next morning, his mind sluggish and disoriented. The first thing he noticed was that he wasn't alone. He laid on his side with another person's arms around him and a warm body pressed up against his back. It wasn't his room at the motel, either. The bed was too comfortable and the sheets smelled clean, not musty.
Without opening his eyes, Dean laid there and tried to think back over the night before. There was no hangover, so he couldn't have been drunk, but his memory was hazy anyway. He remembered checking out a club that was said to be suspicious...
Couldn't really remember going inside, although his mind kept producing hazy images of him on his knees and the smell of sex. Which, really, wasn't the worst thing in the world, but it would be nice to remember it. Some worrisome thought was niggling at the back of his mind, but he couldn't quite make it come forward.
Slowly, Dean opened his eyes and looked back over his shoulder at the man laying behind him.

Which... he kind of did.
"What do you do?"
no subject
"I own the bar down the street." He shrugged. "Just opened up, so we're pretty new though."

Dean finished off his breakfast, glad Nathaniel hadn't asked too much more about his job. He kind of didn't like lying to the guy, but it was a necessary thing. He'd hate being chucked out even more. It had happened before.
He smiled as he leaned back in his seat. "Now, there's a real job. I think it'd be fun to own a bar."
no subject
"You should drop by sometime. Drinks'll be on the house. As a matter of fact--" He flashed a grin.
"You stick around long enough, you can drop in tonight."
no subject
Besides that, he was hot and he owned a bar. Two huge pluses right there.
"I'd like that. If you don't mind me hanging around."
no subject
"Guess we got a bit of time to waste until then though. Anything in particular you want to do?"
Well, they had pretty much crashed last night, hadn't they? They should probably wash up. "If you want a shower, it's down the hall, across from the bedroom."
no subject
Right now, though, a shower sounded fantastic. "That'd be great, thanks. You happen to know if my car made it here? My clothes are in my bag..."
no subject
"Uh, well we got here somehow. It'd be parked out front, I think. What do you drive again?"
no subject
He looked over at Nathaniel curiously. "Mind if I run down and grab my bag real quick?"
no subject
"Nah, go ahead." He paused, flashing a playful look. "I promise I won't lock the door after you step out."
no subject
Part of him... kind of thought he might find a locked door when he got back to it, but it was still open and he breathed a small sigh of relief when he walked back in. "Sure you don't mind if I grab the first shower? I don't mind waiting."
no subject
He could take him out, show him around or something. Or whatever Dean wanted to do really.

The warm water felt good on his back, too, and he let himself enjoy it a few minutes before he got busy scrubbing down. Nice as it was, Dean didn't want to use up all the hot water before Nathaniel got his shower.
He rinsed, dried off, and climbed out to get dressed. He pulled on a nice pair of older jeans, worn nicely in all the good places, and a soft, button down shirt. Normally he wouldn't worry too much about dressing 'up' but he felt like he needed to make a little better impression now that he had a chance and he knew he looked good in this outfit.
He emerged from the bathroom and dropped his bag out of the way in the living room, his boots beside it. For now, he was comfortable staying barefoot until they decided what to do next.
no subject
He just wanted to go jump in a shower real fast, get himself washed up, then they could go do something or whatever. He stepped into the bathroom and washed himself up quickly. After he was done, he wrapped a towel around his waist and stepped into the bedroom to dress real fast -- just a pair of black jeans and a shirt. Not too dressy, but he looked nice enough. He combed through his hair and then stepped out to find where Dean got off to.

He was sprawled on the couch, flipping channels, when Nathaniel reemerged. He looked up from his slouch and smiled. Definitely looked good in those jeans.
"So, what do you feel like doing?" He asked as he straightened up and moved over a little to give the other man room to sit on the couch beside him.
no subject
It would be easier if he knew what interested Dean. All he remembered from last night involved kinky stuff though.
no subject
"Could we see your bar? Or take a walk somewhere? Anything. I'm not really hard to please."
no subject
"Yeah, sure. No one's going to be in just yet, but we can head down and look at it... then head out for a walk." Sounded like a good plan to him.
no subject
He made a sweeping gesture with his arm and grinned. "Lead the way."
no subject
He opened the door and headed inside. He waited until Dean had joined him before closing and locking up again -- way too early for customers coming in just yet. After that, he went to hit the lights.
The bar was nice, new and clean, well stocked too. Nathaniel made sure of that. "Make yourself comfortable.'
no subject
He wandered over to the bar and slipped onto a bar stool, still admiring the bar. "This is a really nice bar. I like it a lot. You must be proud of the place."
no subject
He leaned his chin against his palm. "Just opened not that long ago, so it's not all that impressive yet. Planning on adding more to it, if we do well enough."
no subject
"I think it's impressive. What're you thinking of adding?"
