In the light of day.
Dean woke slowly the next morning, his mind sluggish and disoriented. The first thing he noticed was that he wasn't alone. He laid on his side with another person's arms around him and a warm body pressed up against his back. It wasn't his room at the motel, either. The bed was too comfortable and the sheets smelled clean, not musty.
Without opening his eyes, Dean laid there and tried to think back over the night before. There was no hangover, so he couldn't have been drunk, but his memory was hazy anyway. He remembered checking out a club that was said to be suspicious...
Couldn't really remember going inside, although his mind kept producing hazy images of him on his knees and the smell of sex. Which, really, wasn't the worst thing in the world, but it would be nice to remember it. Some worrisome thought was niggling at the back of his mind, but he couldn't quite make it come forward.
Slowly, Dean opened his eyes and looked back over his shoulder at the man laying behind him.

"Think it'll hold you over until after the bar closes tonight?"

He smoothed a hand over Dean's hip, nuzzling at him lightly before shifting off him, and laying on his back close by.

"You mind?" He was really craving a smoke now, but didn't want to blow smoke in the other's face if he hated it.

Dean looked down at the cigarette pack and shrugged, pulling back to get out of the smoke range. Definitely not something he was fond of, but he wasn't going to tell a guy he couldn't smoke in his own house. "Go for it."

He smirked a little, eyeing him a moment. "How about bartending... think you could handle some of it?"
It'd give Dean something to do tonight, he figured. Didn't know if he'd want to just stand around and wait all night or not. "I'll pay you for what you work too."
no subject
"What time do you start opening?"
no subject
"Probably should start here in the next hour."
no subject
An hour wasn't too long. Dean nodded and stretched. "I'm gonna need a shower, then. So I don't smell like someone's fucked me brainless recently." He grinned and leaned over to brush a quick kiss across Nathaniel's lips before he rolled to his feet. "Feel free to join me if you get done with your smoke in time."
no subject
Damn, he didn't want to move though. He needed a shower too, no getting out of that. He smiled a little at that kiss and nodded. "Yeah, I'll be right in."
no subject
He went into the bathroom and started the shower. Once the water was warm, he stepped inside and closed the curtain behind him. Ahhh. Nothing like a good, hot shower after a good, hot fuck. Between last night and today, Dean hadn't been this content in a long time.

"That and I like seeing you naked and soapy. Maybe."
no subject
"You've seen me naked a lot in the last couple of days."
no subject
They'd have time tonight though, after the bar closed.

Good thing about living above the place you worked? It only took a minute to get there. He wasn't too worried about being late.

Towel discarded, he headed to the closet to get some fresh clothes out, slipping into them.

When he was dressed, he got to his feet and gestured for Nathaniel to lead the way. "After you, boss man."

Once they were ready, he led the way out of the apartment and headed down to get the bar open. Wouldn't be long until his employees showed up to start for the night, but he needed to get the lights on, the cash out for change, and everything ready to go.

He didn't leave him too long though. There'd be customers filtering in soon and he wanted to make sure Dean had the hang of it.
